Drug Testing

When planning to work with psychedelics or chemical substances it is crucial to utilize drug analyzing services or test kits.  This will help to verify the purity and contents of a substance so you can be safe and make informed decisions about its use.

We use a local laboratory that specializes in comprehensive drug checking using FTIR Spectroscopy and Paper-Spray Mass Spectrometry.

ABOUT FTIR
FTIR stands for Fourier-Transform InfraRed spectroscopy
This type of spectroscopy measures how much infrared radiation (a
particular type of light) is absorbed by a substance.

The different chemical characteristics of a substance affect how it
absorbs and reflects light.

When the light hits the substance, some of the light is absorbed, while
the rest is reflected.

The reflected light is like a substance’s
chemical fingerprint.
Technicians compare the spectrum with others in the
library to identify which substances are present (which substances
match the spectrum)
